Distress Box (and its free version, Distress Box Lite) was created to be the best app for survivors when you are in an emergency such as stuck at sea, mountains, or deep in any caves. It is also designed to be able to send emergency signals easily. What the Users Are Saying... US APP STORE Nice emergency app. Much more inclusive than the usual flashlight type app. Includes other things such as SOS signals. There is also a guide that explains how and what kind of emergency signals to use. I would recommend adding an emergency guide that tells you what to do on hiking/camping/etc emergencies, such as for snake bites, broken bones- how to do an emergency splint, or how to start a campfire without matches or a lighter. Quite Nice. This is a pretty useful little app, and I found it to be more polished than some other distress signal apps. Why Should You Get It? (Full range of colors) STROBE - this also can be used to attract attention. Strobe light with ability to change speed/frequency. (Full range of colors) ALPINE DISTRESS SIGNAL - repeatedly flashing the Alpine Distress Signal. Selectable type of signal - either replying to, or sending to. (Full range colors) FLASHLIGHT - customizable with full range of colors. SOS SIGNAL - repeatedly flashing SOS signal, with full range of colors. GUIDE book - a short but informative information about signalling for help for your reference wherever you are. SOUND CAPABILITY for both Morse Code tool and SOS signal. (Sound is 1kHz frequency - which is most acceptable by all human ear.) Distress Box Lite Features The features are very limited - since the purpose is just to make users have a feel of the full version app. It only a flashlight, SOS signal with sound, and Alpine Distress Signal. This app will never be updated, unless there are bugs.
